Amazing! I go to sea for 3 weeks, with no internet. I expected that. It totally sucked, but at least I knew it was coming.
This morning, the internet at my house has disappeared again. No warning. No half measures. Just completely gone and not a damn thing I can do about it.
I did call ATT (again). After telling them I had already done all the recommended proceedures (turn computer off/on, reset button, etc), and it was still dead. They informed me after checking on their end that they would send me (another) new modem. I informed them that I already had FIVE BRAND NEW MODEMS and STILL have the same problem form over 6 months now, I don’t think it has anything to do with the modem any more.
It is telling me right there ON the modem itself that there is NO SERVICE!
What the HELL can I DO? I NEED to have internet access to do anything around the house! As I told the lady on the phone, I can’t spend my entire life at McDonalds!
Sorry, but I won’t be able to catch up with anyone’s comments or make any more posts until I can get the internet back at home again.
Sorry for your problem but I can emphasize. I’m on my third ATT modem this year. This one gives the red “no service ” light from time to time but so far all it has asked for is to be unplugged, given a ten count and replugged. Experience teaches that this won’t last much longer, that it will die completely and then I will entertain the service dude yet again.
That sucks. I don’t get it. I had Juno for 10+ years, never had even 1 problem (they use ATT lines and equipment). All the sudden in March, I’ve had nothing BUT problems, switched to ATT direct (for twice the $) and still have nothing but problems.
I call them now and they immediately send me a new modem, even when I tell them it’s not the modem causing the problem. Do you still have to have the service guy come out?
