I have seen the red tides a few times. It’s not a good thing. I have also seen the bioluminescense a few times, which is really awesome. I’ve seen some whirlpools, but not as big as that. There are some in the Straits of Messina between Sicily and Italy that are pretty big. Went through there a couple of times.

We have red tides from time to time in eastern NC, and they’re devastating. The striped icebergs sound pretty cool, though. The whole article was really interesting, and a bit scary. Thanks for sharing it.
